Edward Eldred

Formerly a law clerk at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, first to Judge Linda Stephens, and then to Chief Judge John C. Martin, Ed maintains an independent practice through his solo law firm but is available to serve as Co-Counsel – upon specific written engagement with Mainsail Lawyers – to assist our firm with specific clients or matters. Ed’s private practice experience includes working in the Appellate practice group at Wyrick Robbins Yates & Ponton LLP and operating a general practice law firm in Carrboro, North Carolina.

Ed graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995 with a degree in History and English and spent the next several years as a systems administrator in UNC’s Medical School. In 2006, Ed graduated from the UNC School of Law, with honors. He also has the benefit of prior externship experience working with Judge Pat DeVine in Orange/Chatham District Court and with the Orange/Chatham Public Defender.

Ed is licensed in North Carolina and is a member of the American, North Carolina, and Judicial District 15B Bar Associations.
